GENERAL
The partition system shall be Unilock ‘Mistral’ composite wall system, with integral glazed, solid and doorframe elements; enabling complete cellular spaces to be constructed without ‘wet’ trades.
CONSTRUCTION
The partition system shall be of composite panel and stud construction, enabling individual removal and replacement of Gypsum boards. The partition system shall comprise vertical galvanised studs, mounted within floor and ceiling tracks; to which are fixed pre-decorated Gypsum boards to create solid elevations, and steel reveal profiles to create glazed elevations, together with a range of modular interchangeable aluminium doorframes.
PERFORMANCE
The Mistral system shall be capable of providing fire resistance, under BS476 PT22, to half hour for solid, glazed and doorframe elements.
The system shall be capable of providing acoustic attenuation under ISO140/ISO717 test and rating procedures; of between 37dB RW and 46dB RW for solid Mistral elements, 38dB RW and 46dB RW for solid Flushwall elements and 47dB RW and 49dB RW for solid Soundwall elements.
DIMENSIONS
The system: shall have a nominal thickness of 80mm for Mistral and Flushwall configurations, and 100mm for Soundwall configurations.
Standard modular dimensions shall be 1213mm for Mistral and Soundwall panels, and 1200mm for Flushwall modules.
The system shall accommodate floor to ceiling dimensions up to 3000mm.
Head detail: shall be either a flush headtrack of 25mm depth, or an inset head track of extruded aluminium with an expressed depth of 35mm. Both shall have acoustic foam strips to seal against the soffit.
Panel to panel partitions: modular junction shall be a 36mm wide Omega profile steel trim, with a flush PVC infil for Mistral and Soundwall variants, or shall have a shallow V-joint between adjacent modules for Flushwall variants. Stratus variant shall have junctions taped/filled and smoothed to present a seamless monolithic finish.
Corners: shall be formed by extruded aluminium profiles of radiused or square profile running from floor to ceiling.
Base detail: shall be selected from a 55mm deep PVC self-colour clip on skirting, an inset 55mm deep recessed steel base profile or an 80mm face fixed aluminium skirting.
Solid panels: shall be formed as Gypsum pre-decorated boards mounted within head and base tracks and against rolled steel galvanised studs, held by 36mm Omega sections screw fixed in position, or by concealed fixings.
Finish: solid panels shall be pre-decorated with sheet vinyl or fabric or steel sheets, applied under controlled factory conditions. Trims, tracks and doorframe profiles shall be Polyester powder coated to a minimum of 50 microns thickness from manufacturers standard colour range.
Glazed panels: shall be site glazed profiles assembled between head and base tracks in single or double glazed form. The glass shall be retained by the same Omega profile as the solid elevations. The glass shall be 6mm toughened float glass.
Blinds: the system shall be capable of accepting blinds in both single and double glazed formats, complete with control cable and knob adjustment at mullion.
Doorframes: Shall be manufactured from aluminium extrusions to various profiles; Classic radius, Aerofoil and Square Frames shall be pre-prepared for hinges (Royde and Tucker hi-load) and strike box (Union 2277 lock or similar). Doorframes shall be capable of accepting 44mm/54mm solid doorleaves or 10/12mm glass leaves.
